Use all those forgotten ingredients in your pantry and fridge to whip some
lovely self-pampering products. Beauty products can cost a bomb, but by throwing
a few on hand items together you can create your own chemical free skin and hair
masks, leaving you refreshed and revitalised.
Here are some recipes to try:
 |
Shiny Hair Mask: Mash one banana and add 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix well. Wet
hair with warm water and apply the mixture to your hair. Cover with a shower cap
and towel and leave for an hour before rinsing well. Also, use as a facemask,
but just leave on for 15-20 minutes. |
 |
Cucumber Facial Cleanser and Toner: Juice a cucumber and mix it with some milk
Use cotton balls to gently apply to your face, then rinse with warm water. To
make the toner, puree a cucumber and pour it through some cheesecloth to
separate the juice. Pour into a jar and add two teaspoons of honey…shake
well…apply to your face, neck and chest. |
 |
Strawberry Hand and Foot exfoliate: Mix a punnet of strawberries with two
tablespoons of olive oil and a teaspoon of course sea salt. Rub on hands and
feet. |
 |
Potatoes: Solution for puffy eyes is put the potatoes through a food processor
and stuff the raw mash into a piece of cheesecloth. Apply for 20 minutes
directly under the eye – don't let the juice touch the eye itself. |
